Can’t use an analog map in a digital world…
I read this article over at AdWeeks website this morning and love the post. Arianna Huffington understands this media very well and is an industry leader that should be followed. From where I've been professionally in both the publishing industry and advertising open source content is a hard pill to swallow. With the booming mobile capabilities it's very exciting to see what the future holds. I just hope these industries can get a jumpstart and begin to catch up.

New Music: "Always… With Wings" by Andy Freakin' Mabe
I recently got my hands on the local music master Andy Freakin' Mabe's new CD "Always... With Wings" and I have to say it's freakin' awesome. Completely self produced and I'm pretty sure Andy performs most of the tracks of the disk with a little help from a friend and his girlfriend.
I love the overall vibe of the entire disk."You'll be mine someday" is probably my favorite track with a nice reggae swing and whistling (secretly is one of my favorite instruments of all times).
Andy plays in several bands in the area from Allison King to Love Craft and several others including his One man band act. Check out his full calendar on his MySpace page.
Sessions with Decatur Street

16 hours, 14 songs, = 112 tracks of the best indie rock i've jammed to in a while. This past weekend local band Decatur Street filled up Psyco-Sonic Sound Labs with all of their musical goodness. Look out for their new CD soon on iTunes or through their myspace page.
Band members:
Brent - Guitar/Vocals
Jason - Bass/Vocals
Crockett - Drums
Elliott - Guitar/Vocals
Equipment used during the sessions:
Guitars: Fender Stratocaster, Fender Jaguar, Gibson Les Paul Studio, Epiphone SG, Epiphone Flying "V", Ibanez Artwood.
Bass: Stadium violin style bass
Drums: Pearl Custom Exports, zildjian cymbals.
Amps: Mesa Boogie, Vox, Ampeg
Effects: I didn't get a good look at their cases but I noticed a ton of chrome so I'd put my money on there were some electro harmonix stomp boxes in there not sure what all else they have. I did see a Holy Grail Reverb and a Pi unit maybe there was a BigMuff in there too.
