Can’t use an analog map in a digital world…

I read this article over at AdWeeks website this morning and love the post. Arianna Huffington understands this media very well and is an industry leader that should be followed. From where I've been professionally in both the publishing industry and advertising open source content is a hard pill to swallow. With the booming mobile capabilities it's very exciting to see what the future holds. I just hope these industries can get a jumpstart and begin to catch up.

Enjoy the article over at AdWeek.

Jamming as the Beatles

beatles-rock-bandI must say The Beatles RockBand is by far one of the best games I've played in a long long time. The animations are very well done, the sound quality is top notch, and the game play is really fun.

The best part is my 7 year old (Addison) long time Beatles fan, can tear up some drums. He has dubbed himself "Ringo" too. We make the best band on the planet shredding up at least 97% each with 150 note runs - on easy :)

We've only put a few hours of play into the game and it appears we have not even scratched the surface of all the possibilities.

Yea I’m a Propellerheads.se Record beta tester

propellerhead-record-logoI got my email today stating that I'm an official beta tester for Propellerheads Software's new product "Record." This is really exciting (at least for me). I can't wait to get home and install this.

Propellerheads are the champions of some great music composition software for both the Mac and PC. I've been an avid follower of their tools for years. Starting way back in college using Rebirth. This is by far my favorite tool to use in my studio for softsynth sounds. I've waited a long time for Propellerhead to develop a multitrack recording software that integrates with Reason. Especially since all of their apps have played nicely with the Line6 products. I'll post my findings as I play.

Impressions of the iPhone 3GS, plus my favorite apps

So I've had my new iPhone for a few weeks now as an upgrade from my first Generation iPhone. I must say this thing is lightning fast compared to my old model. I was afraid I wouldn't really notice any real speed boost between the Edge and 3G network but man I was wrong.

So far my favorite applications are:
Apple provided apps: Calendar, Camera, Maps, Weather, App Store, Mail, Safari, Contacts, & iPod

Downloaded apps I run: TweetDeck, Ping.fm, Facebook, WordPress, AIM, Bible, Craigsphone, eBay, Evernote, Google, Google Earth, FourTrack, iShred, iTick, OmniTuner, Checkers, Cro-Mag, Remote, MouthOff, myLite, Skype, VNC, keynote Remote, AT&T myWireless, WiFi HD lite

Believe it or not ,I do use them all. What's your favorite apps?
